1. Perform manual labor as required for the completion of excavation, grading, site work, utility construction, paving, concrete, or other various duties.
2. Operate and maintain small hand-held equipment in accordance with company policies.
3. Report required maintenance and repairs of small equipment to field supervisor.

1. Perform excavation, grading, site work, utility construction, paving, concrete, or other various duties with assigned equipment as directed by supervisor/management.
2. Perform manual labor as required.
3. Be familiar with and follow the guidelines of the operators manual for assigned equipment.
4. Perform maintenance to assigned equipment as outlined in the manufacturer's operators manual and in accordance with company policies.
5. Operate equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's operation guidelines and safety procedures, and in accordance with company policies.
6. Keep equipment neat, clean, and filled with fuel.
7. Perform routine maintenance and repairs when equipment breaks down or other problems occur.
8. Report to field supervisor when major equipment problems occur.
9. Supervise laborers, truck drivers, and subcontractors if you are on a site without a Flyway field supervisor.

1. Maintain a current CDL license and physical.
2. Comply with all traffic laws. You are responsible for all fines related to traffic violations.
3. Keep your assigned vehicle neat, clean, and filled with fuel.
4. Comply with all DOT regulations including legal size and weight restrictions.
5. Safely load, transport, and unload equipment transported with assigned truck.
6. Drive trucks and trailers in accordance with the manufacturer's accepted guidelines and safety procedures, and in accordance with company policies.
7. Perform routine maintenance and repairs of assigned trucks and trailers as outlined in the Owner's Manual provided by the manufacturer, and in accordance with company policies.

I. Management
A. Projects
1. Schedule and co-ordinate work with owners, engineers, general contractors, other trades, and hired subcontractors to meet project deadlines.
2. Supervise excavation, grading, site work, utility, paving, concrete, or other various crews.
3. Perform as project foreman for several projects concurrently.
4. Oversee, supervise, and train field employees.
5. Schedule and co-ordinate owned and rental equipment.
6. Manage job costs through monitoring, evaluating, and implementing change as needed to ensure profitability.
7. Treat safety as a top priority in the shop and at jobsites.
B. Personnel
1. Oversee and supervise field employees
2. Adopt, follow, teach, and enforce Flyway Excavating, Inc.’s company policies, thus setting a proper example.
3. Generate a positive and enthusiastic attitude about the company.
4. Teach and help others to learn necessary skills to complete projects. Answer questions and encourage them.
5. Give regular feedback to employees you are supervising.
II. Administrative
1. Report to upper management all major equipment problems when they occur.
2. Evaluate employees as scheduled.
3. Attend necessary meetings to enhance personal and employee growth and communication.
4. Turn in all field slips and other required paperwork on a daily basis.
5. Complete and turn in time cards, equipment sheets, and other documentation weekly.
6. Complete and turn in T&M sheets as completed, at a minimum of weekly.
III. Required Qualifications
1. Clear, concise communication.
2. Accurate, efficient layout of lines and grades.
3. Math skills needed to carry out duties.
4. Operate all company equipment.
5. Perform manual labor and be able to lift 100 pounds.

I. Management
A. Projects
1. Schedule and coordinate work with Flyway field supervisors, owners, engineers, general contractors, other trades, and hired subcontractors.
2. Resolve customer complaints promptly and courteously.
3. Assist office staff with collection of past due accounts receivables.
4. Assist President with client relations and customer satisfaction follow-up programs.
B. Personnel
1. Provide direction to Flyway Field Supervisors regarding projects.
2. Give regular performance feedback and formal annual reviews as scheduled.
3. Supervise and monitor employee attitudes, productivity, safe work practices, and work quality.
4. Assist with training and development of employee skills.
5. Conduct and attend necessary meetings to enhance personal and employee growth, improvement, and communication.
C. Equipment
1. Work in harmony with the president and all field supervisors in scheduling equipment mobilization, utilization, maintenance and repair.
II. Estimating
1. Obtain specifications and drawings needed to bid desired projects.
2. Be vigilant in evaluating the merits of each project under consideration to bid as each relates to Flyway Excavating Inc.’s goals, capabilities, and schedule.
3. Visit and inspect sites to obtain pertinent data for bids.
4. Provide accurate, fair and profitable estimates by established deadlines.
5. Follow up on all estimates provided until accepted or rejected.
